Day 1

Ulaanbaatar → Karakorum

Depart Ulaanbaatar and drive 360 km to Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Spend the afternoon touring the iconic Erdene Zuu Monastery and the Karakorum Museum before a local dinner and overnight stay at a traditional ger guesthouse under a sky full of stars.

Day 2

Karakorum → Elsen Tasarkhai (Camel Ride & Nomadic Family Stay)

Drive 70 km to Elsen Tasarkhai, Mongolia's 'Semi-Gobi,' and ride a two-humped Bactrian camel across its rolling dunes. After lunch, continue 270 km deeper into the steppe to visit a nomadic family, sample their homemade dairy products, and spend the night in their ger.
